Disregarding the pleas of local housing providers, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors this week fast-tracked the approval of three ordinances that would place significant new restrictions on the rental housing industry.
The trio of anti-housing measures, which would apply in unincorporated areas of Alameda County, won preliminary approval on a split vote on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022.
