The California Apartment Association is urging landlords to contact Los Angeles County supervisors and request critical modifications to a proposed ordinance regulating indoor temperatures in rental housing.

The measure, expected to go before the Board of Supervisors later this month, would require rental properties in unincorporated areas to maintain indoor temperatures no higher than 82 F.
