Although the California Apartment Association didn’t get everything it wanted in 2021, it did chalk up some important victories amid another year of COVID-19. Successes included limiting the negative effects of the state’s COVID-19 eviction moratorium and securing more dollars to cover unpaid rent as part of those extensions: 100% of the unpaid rent for tenants who qualify, up from an earlier rate of 80%.
