CAA Tri-County-endorsed candidate Mahn Nguyen won handily in Tuesday, June 23, special election to fill the District 4 seat on the San Jose City Council.

When Councilman-Elect Nguyen is sworn in on Aug. 4, the City Council will have seven members that CAA Tri-County has supported over the past two cycles: Mayor Sam Liccardo, and council members Chappie Jones (District 1), Mahn Nguyen (District 4), Magdalena Carrasco (District 5), Pierluigi Oliverio (District 6), Rose Herrera (District 8), and Johnny Khamis (District 10). CAA Tri-County hopes this means Mayor Liccardo can continue to pursue policies that will increase economic development throughout the San Jose region.
