Question: My tenant is in the middle of a one-year fixed term lease (it started Aug. 1, 2025). The refrigerator and stove were not included at move in, so the tenant provided their own. Now the tenant is requesting the owner supply both under the new law. Do these appliances need to be provided now, or when the lease term expires?
Question: The property has never been in Section 8. Don’t landlords have to apply for this program before accepting applicants from this program? Do Section 8 tenants pay a security deposit? Do I have to participate in Section 8? How can someone with a voucher meet my screening criteria?
