This year’s last active piece of major legislation dealing with rental housing fees has advanced from the state Senate to the Assembly.

SB 681 by Sen. Aisha Wahab, D‑Fremont, passed off the Senate floor earlier this month on a 28‑10 vote and now awaits hearings in the Assembly’s Housing and Community Development Committee and the Judiciary Committee.
