Kern County is the only county in California still under price-gouging restrictions due to wildfires. The states of emergency in Plumas, Butte, and Tehama Counties, related to the Gold Complex Fire and the Park Fire, respectively, expired on Aug. 25. Thus, the associated rent increase restrictions triggered by these emergencies have also expired.
