Less than 10 days ago, Gov. Newsom lifted the state’s indoor mask mandate, a promising milestone in California’s nearly two-year battle with COVID-19.
A few days later, the governor talked about COVID evolving to become a “manageable risk.”
“We are moving past the crisis phase into a phase where we will work to live with this virus,” Newsom said, adding that, “People are looking forward to turning the page.”
Despite the governor’s statements and California’s improving public health and economic situation, local governments are trying to keep COVID-19 eviction restrictions alive.
