Landlords who’ve suffered financial losses under Los Angeles County’s COVID-19 eviction moratorium may soon be exempt from certain property tax penalties.
The Board of Supervisors on Tuesday voted unanimously to pursue a cancellation of property tax penalties, interests, costs, and fees for qualifying rental property owners.
The motion to eliminate tax penalties came from Supervisors Kathryn Barger and Janice Hahn.
