Faced with a court-ordered injunction, Los Angeles County has made changes to its COVID-19 eviction moratorium with the aim of keeping its ordinance in effect through the end of the month.

On Oct. 19, 2022, a federal district court issued an injunction to stop the county from enforcing the non-payment provisions of its moratorium, due to deficiencies in how the moratorium is written — but not until Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022.
