Question: I understand that as of April 1, we must take photos at move-out and also document repairs with photos when charging the deposit. Is it true that if repairs are not completed within the 21-day timeframe and we are therefore unable to provide a repair photo, we would not be allowed to deduct from the deposit, since the law requires photographic evidence? Previously, we could use an estimate for deductions—does this new law change our ability to do so?
