Multifamily leaders from across the country will gather this Thursday, Sept. 11,
at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles for the Connect Apartments conference.
The event will feature economic insights, investment strategies, and networking
opportunities for rental housing professionals.

California Apartment Association CEO Tom Bannon will interview Barry Altshuler, executive vice president of investments at Equity Residential, during the presentation of the 2025 Connect CRE Changing Landscape Award. Altshuler is a CAA board member and past president of the association.
The program will also include a presentation by Hessam Nadji, president and CEO of Marcus & Millichap, on investment strategies for 2026 and beyond, along with a keynote Q&A featuring Jeffrey DeBoer, president and CEO of The Real Estate Roundtable.
Additional sessions will cover topics such as distressed assets, multifamily finance, and the use of artificial intelligence in apartment management. The conference concludes with a cocktail reception.
