The California Apartment Association proudly manages a political action committee that advocates for state and local measures that positively impact the rental housing industry while opposing those that threaten it.

The CAA Issues Committee, or CAAIPAC, works to secure a balanced and fair legislative environment for rental housing providers. By concentrating on ballot measures at the state and local levels, the committee directly influences policies that shape the industry, thereby affecting both housing providers and renters.

The committee does not engage in contributing to local, state, or federal candidate campaigns or elected officials, ensuring its focus remains exclusively on ballot measures. This clear delineation underscores the committee’s dedication to specific, targeted advocacy for the rental housing sector.

Contributions made to the CAAIPAC are not tax-deductible and are reported to the Fair Political Practices Commission.

CAA continues to be ready for offensive and defensive efforts on behalf of the apartment industry, including defeating the Justice for Renters Act and responding to state and local proposals the association doesn’t yet know about. Please contribute to the CAAIPAC as soon as possible via the button below.
