The California Apartment Association will host a comprehensive Year-in-Review webinar series, offering vital updates for rental housing providers across the state. This three-part series will cover significant state and local legislative and political developments, as well as compliance updates that affect California’s rental housing.

Part 1 will focus on a state legislative and political update, highlighting new laws passed by the California Legislature as well as the political landscape in Legislature.  The webinar will also cover bills that CAA successfully opposed and anticipated legislation in 2025. Finally, we will review the outcome of select statewide propositions on the November 2024 ballot.

Part 2 will provide local insights, with different sessions tailored for major metropolitan areas including the City of Los Angeles, the City of San Diego, the City of Sacramento, and targeted major cities in Orange County and Northern California’s Bay Area. These sessions will be tailored to housing providers in these areas and will cover CAA’s work in these cities over the past year, any new laws that impact rental housing, political trends, compliance highlights, forecasts for the coming year and ways CAA members can be involved in grassroots advocacy. 

Part 3 will delve into compliance, equipping attendees with essential information on how to comply with new state laws, including revised forms and key Industry Insights papers to prepare for 2025.

The webinars will be offered free for CAA members. Further details on dates and registration will be announced soon. This series represents a valuable opportunity for members to stay informed about the changes and trends shaping California’s rental housing industry.
