The California Apartment Association – in conjunction with the San Francisco Apartment Association — has helped prevent San Francisco from imposing an illegal COVID-19 eviction moratorium that would keep eviction restrictions in place after the state’s own rules expire.
With most aspects of California’s eviction moratorium expiring Sept. 30, Supervisor Dean Preston has been pushing to keep San Francisco under a pandemic related eviction moratorium through the end of 2021, with some protections extending into 2022.
