Rent board appointments on hold

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has agreed to fast-track the California Apartment Association’s challenge to Pasadena’s new rent control law and will hold a full hearing on the merits of CAA’s case on March 28.

Judge Mary Strobel’s decision came during a status conference on Jan. 12 after the city and CAA struck a deal on the timing of rent board appointments.
