The California Apartment Association has asked the state Supreme Court to review a ruling that threatens to create a proliferation of class-action lawsuits against rental housing providers.

On June 10, CAA sent a letter asking California’s High Court to take up Peviani v. Arbors at California Oaks Property Owner.

CAA objects to class-action certification of the plaintiffs, saying disputes of this nature belong in small-claims court.
