The California Apartment Association has once again sidelined legislation that would have created an unnecessary and expensive state rental registry.

On Tuesday, AB 889 by Assemblyman Mike Gipson, D-Los Angeles, failed to pass out of the Senate Judiciary Committee, rendering the bill dead for the remainder of 2021.
