An Assembly bill sent to the governor’s desk aims to eliminate the need for prospective tenants to pay for separate credit checks every time they apply for a rental.

Under AB 2559, prospective tenants would be able to buy a single credit report and use it to apply for housing at multiple properties for a span of 30 days.
