When it comes to rental housing fees, the rules are anything but simple.
Rental housing providers face a growing challenge in deciding which fees they can charge and how those charges should be structured and disclosed.
In a one-hour webinar on May 27, the California Apartment Association will help members and nonmembers better understand the patchwork of state laws, local ordinances and enforcement activity affecting rental housing fees.
No single statute governs all rental housing fees. Instead, providers must navigate overlapping rules affecting application screening charges, late fees, utilities and other recurring costs.
“Rental Housing Fees: The Big Picture” will offer members and nonmembers a practical walkthrough of the current fee landscape, taught by two CAA staff attorneys:
