The Sacramento City Council is scheduled to vote Tuesday, May 20, on a proposal to nearly double fire inspection fees for rental housing providers and other local businesses.
The fee hike, proposed by the Sacramento Fire Department, would increase annual inspection costs by between 71% and 117%, depending on the number of units per apartment property. The matter will appear on the council’s May 20 meeting agenda.
