The California Apartment Association will present Part 2 of its Landlord 101 webinar series on Sept. 17, 2025, at 10 a.m.
This installment will cover:
- Landlord’s right of entry
- Rent increases
- Turnover and lease renewal
- Termination of tenancy
- Dealing with difficult situations during a tenancy
The Landlord 101 program is a two-part introduction to California’s complex landlord-tenant laws. The series provides housing providers with a high-level overview of the core compliance issues every landlord should know, along with references to CAA forms, Industry Insight papers, and additional educational resources for deeper learning.
Part 1, held Aug. 20 and now available on demand, covered:
- Application process and screening criteria
- Fair housing concerns
- Lease and rental agreement basics
- Security deposits
- Rent collection procedures
Together, the two sessions offer a solid framework for navigating key issues and spotting situations where further guidance is needed.
The 90-minute webinars are available live and on demand. Each costs $55 for CAA members and $95 for nonmembers, and qualifies for one unit of continuing education credit for current Certified California Residential Manager (CCRM) holders. A discounted bundle for both sessions is also available.
