Los Angeles County this month will begin holding a series of stakeholder meetings where rental property owners can discuss the impacts of the county’s eviction moratorium on their rental business.
The moratorium applies to most cities in the county, although it excludes the city of Los Angeles.
The first meeting runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, Feb. 25, and will include updates on the following:
- County’s eviction moratorium
- COVID renter protections
- Small business COVID relief
- Pending mortgage relief
- Rent relief program
Officials also want to hear from rental housing providers.
“Although there are several items they will be discussing, it is very important for owners to participate and discuss their issues with the county’s moratorium,” said Fred Sutton, CAA’s senior vice president of public affairs for the Los Angeles region.
