Los Angeles rental housing providers are voicing their frustration with the City Council for failing to follow through on its plan to sunset the COVID-19 eviction moratorium and rent freeze.

It’s been two months since the council agreed on definitive dates to end both emergency COVID-19 rental housing regulations. Since then, elected leaders have repeatedly delayed taking a final vote on the plan, which would conclude the eviction moratorium on Jan. 31, 2023, and the freeze on rent increases in early 2024.
