The California Apartment Association’s lawsuit challenging Alameda County’s COVID-19 eviction moratorium has been assigned to a judge who’s handling a related case.

CAA’s lawsuit, filed May 5, alleges that the county’s moratorium violates property owners’ constitutional rights and state law. The moratorium includes a near-complete eviction ban and has been in effect for more than two years.
