The California Apartment Association continues to oppose a bill on the Senate floor that would limit landlords’ ability to move into their properties, would complicate essential property maintenance, and also make it difficult to sell their rental property.  The bill also exposes property owners to hefty penalties for minor mistakes.

The legislation, SB 567, proposes substantial changes to the Tenant Protection Act of 2019, commonly referred to as AB 1482.
