The California Apartment Association on Monday asked the state Supreme Court to depublish a lower court decision that has created confusion over how landlords must write and serve three-day notices to tenants.

If the court grants the request, the ruling would no longer serve as legal precedent in future cases, though it would remain binding for the parties involved.
