Over 80% of California counties now have limits on rent increases
Out of California’s 58 counties, 47 of them now have emergency-related limits on rent increases due to severe winter storms that began in late February.
Gov. Newsom expanded the storm state of emergency in four additional counties to support ongoing storm response and relief efforts on Tuesday, March 28. The counties named in Tuesday’s proclamation are Alameda, Marin, Modoc, and Shasta.
