South Coast Charity Gala to take on homelessness in Orange County

The California Apartment Association will hold a charity gala this spring to reduce homelessness in Orange County.

CAA’s South Coast division will hold the inaugural gala Wednesday, May 21, at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim.

CAA has partnered with Orange County United Way to both reduce homelessness and ensure that children have permanent, quality places to live.

“With our support, Rapid Rehousing will be able to help get kids and their families out of unstable housing situations, from shelters, motels, or living with too many people in an apartment, into their own apartments they can call home,” said Melinda Graham, CAA South Coast’s advisory board chairwoman.

Through the Charity Gala, CAA hopes to raise $50,000 to help 12 families. A portion of each Charity Gala sponsorship will go directly toward a family in need.

“Together, we can help our community, build valuable business relationships, and make CAA South Coast’s Inaugural Charity Gala a success,” Graham said.
