CAA is hosting a timely webinar, “Which Addenda Do I Need?”, at 10 a.m. Feb. 13, 2024. This one-hour session, led by CAA staff attorneys Monica Deka and Heidi Palutke, is a must-attend for California rental housing providers.

Participants will learn how to determine which addenda they need to include when preparing a rental or lease agreement based on factors such as the applicability of rent control and just cause eviction rules under AB 1482, property type, age and location, whether certain conditions or facilities exist at a property, and resident activities.

The webinar will address key questions housing providers have about which addenda are needed, and which are not applicable, for their rental agreements. Additionally, newly available 2024 addenda forms will be reviewed, including the Micromobility Device Storage Area Addendum (based on the new e-bike and e-scooter storage law), Service Animal Policy Addendum, and Temporary Rent Payment Discount Addendum.
