Alameda County’s eviction moratorium is having a devastating effect on rental housing providers.

The Board of Supervisors refuses to take action to lift or even ease the moratorium, so CAA and five local landlords have taken the fight to the courts.

On May 5, 2022, we filed a lawsuit in federal court against Alameda County that seeks to have the moratorium declared a violation of rental housing providers’ constitutional rights.

Join CAA for an informational webinar to learn more about our lawsuit and the various challenges facing the rental housing industry across Alameda County.

This webinar will feature a roundtable discussion on the political, legislative, and legal dynamics facing rental housing providers in Alameda County.

Speakers include:

  • Tom Bannon, Chief Executive Officer, CAA
  • Joshua Howard, Executive Vice President, Local Government Affairs, CAA
  • Whitney Prout, Policy & Compliance Counsel, CAA
