CAA names new leader for Inland Empire
The California Apartment Association has named Matthew Buck as its new executive in the Greater Inland Empire.
Buck assumed his new role July 1. Now vice president of public affairs, he previously served CAA members in the region as government affairs director.
CAA’s Greater Inland Empire office spans the counties of San Bernardino, Riverside and the eastern region of Los Angeles County.
“In his tenure as government affairs director for us the last few years, Buck has proven he’s ready to assume responsibility for CAA’s public affairs operations in the Greater Inland Empire,” said Tom Bannon, chief executive officer of the statewide association. “He will continue to focus primarily on advocating for the rental housing industry in the halls of government.”
Buck replaces Tim Johnson, who accepted an executive management position with an affordable housing and property management company located in Ontario, CA.
“I’m excited at the opportunity to continue building upon my relationships with members of the rental housing industry, public officials and other community leaders,” said Buck, who stressed, “Together, we can maintain a healthy business environment for the rental housing industry while ensuring that renters have safe, clean and well-maintained places to call home.”
Buck is also working on his Executive MBA at the Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management.
“I look forward to not only continuing to advocate for the rights of rental property owners to conduct business free of onerous regulations, but to insist that members abide by the highest ethical standards, as outlined in CAA’s Code of Ethics.
